  About Me:
I am a Mommy of two beautiful little girls. Isabelle who is turning three on March 12th 2010 and little Amelia who was born January 4th 2010. I was never overweight before I had my babies and was always an athlete. My goal is to have only been overweight for a total of 3 years of my entire life. If I lose my "baby weight" this time around I believe I can attain my goal! I am not uncomfortable in my skin but I do want to be healthy and the best I can be for my children :) and my husband.
  Starting Weight: 177 lbs.
  Gender: Female

Been taking an ab workout class that is offered though the city parks and rec! Love it!! It has not just been working out my core but my legs and arms as well. I have lower back problems and I can tell this has been helping with that as well. I have also been doing ab workouts on my big ball at home during the week!!

Just got back from the spa. I love going to the spa. I feel so rejuvinated afterwards! I must admit my husband takes very good care of me! Got my eyebows waxed, facial, and a 90 minute massage! The weather outside today is beautiful. I am excited to be bbqing scallops tonight with asparagus, and a lite pasta with olive oil and parmesan cheese! Had a healthy breakfast this morning as well. Whole Wheat toast with an egg cooked on a nonstick pan. A big bowl of mixed fruits: Grapes, Strawberries, and Apple slices. Also one cup of fat free milk. This has actually been my breakfast for the past 2 weeks! Just mixing it up a bit with the fruits :). This weekend is one of the few weekends when we don't have much planned. Uncle Brice is coming over today, more friends over tonight and tomorrow we have our daughters swim lessons. This weekend should be much easier to stay on track than last!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day Everyone! Today has been a very good day. Nothing special going on... just feeling good! Have been eating really well today. Very proud of myself. I have managed to leave myself 945 calories for dinner! BBq Chicken, Steamed Carrots, and Mashed Potatoes are on the menu for tonight. Maybe even fit in a glass of wine :). Unfortunately I did over do it this past weekend and I am still at 170! At least I didn't gain any. So I have decided for the next two months I cannot give up on the weekends. I need to plan out my breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner over the weekend as well. Does anyone have any good recipe ideas that are both filling and yummy?

Thanks for the suggestions Steph! I will try that this weekend. I do know how to cook healthy... it is just with parties and what other people cook!!

Ok... Weekends are so hard to stay healthy for me!! I need some suggestions so I don't get off track. With birthday parties and running around I surely didn't eat as healthy has I should have. I am not going to beat myself up over it though. I have been dropping pounds and people have been noticing. Well today is back on!! Had a healthy breakfast and lunch and now trying to think about what I am going to make for dinner!

Today was the beginning of a new life for me... in a way. I managed to only eat 1800 calories!! I have notice that I have a love hate relationship with food. I have formed bad habits especially at night. I love to munch on snacks and watch tv at night. It is my way of relaxing. Breaking this habit is going to be difficult I can tell. But I am trying and I am managing well. I ate very well today. Ate a lot of fresh fruit with yogurt and walnuts. Made a healthy stew packed with nutrients! My husband and daughter got ice cream tonight and I was able to stay strong and say no. When we got home tonight I made some homemade gaucomole! I was able to have it as a little snack and I feel great! I already have my breakfast, lunch, and snack prepared and portioned out for tomorrow. That seems to really help me stay on track. I am making Taco's tomorrow night for dinner with extra lean ground turkey breast. I can make two giant tortilla's with a side of rice and beans for only 685 calories!! Plus I am able to have an after dinner snack :) I don't have that many challenges in my life. This is probably the most difficult challenge I have ever had! I am going to push myself and realize that my goal is in reach. By my birthday I should be down to 140 lbs which is a very healthy weight for me. I am 5'7 with a lot of natural muscular build and I can't wait to be back down to my normal size! I am so excited :)

Ah! What a weekend!! So busy and active. Went running yesterday and then spent the day out at the beach. Today went to Silverdale and met up with my sister, nephews, and father in-law :) Did some shopping and now getting ready to go grocery shopping with my new list of food for healthier eating. I am going to really push myself this week and try to stay within 1800 calories even though I am breastfeeding and working out. That is my goal for one week and I am going to see if I get results. If my milk supply start to go down I am definitely going to increase the calories though. I know when I am not breastfeeding and am down to the size I normally am I should only be eating about 1800 calories so it will be great to see how much I can eat and what I am eating. Doing this has really opened up my eyes to what kinds of food I am eating how I have formed some incrediably bad habits! UGH!!! Time for a lifestyle change that is for sure.

Amelia & I. Baby girl is only 6.5 weeks old and I am just starting to work out. I weighed 200 lbs when I gave birth and when this photo was taken I weighed 177. I have a long journey ahead of me. But I did just have two babies in less than 3 years :)
